Soprano Kristin Titus recently graduated from Westminster Choir College with her Masters Degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy with distinction. She received her Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance from WCC in 2005. While at Westminster, Kristin enjoyed performing Gertrude in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Lady Billows in Britten’s Albert Herring and Alice in Verdi’s Falstaff and Mother in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night visitors. Kristin has spent her summers studying opera at The Florence Voice Seminar, The CoOPERAtive Program, New York Opera Studio and The Princeton Festival. While at these programs she performed scenes as the Countess, Mimi, Arabella, and the Marschallin.
In 2007, Kristin received an encouragement award in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She has been honored with awards or recognition in numerous competitions including the New Jersey National Association of Teachers of Singing, the Marian Anderson Competition and the Westminster Voice Awards.
The main teachers in her life have been Lindsey Christiansen, Laura Brooks Rice, Daniel Beckwith, Susan Ashbaker, Mark Verzatt, Richard Raub and Yelena Kurdina.
Kristin is married to artist Jesse Titus, who makes it very easy to decorate their home with his gorgeous oil paintings. They live in New Jersey.
